Roger Martinez and I attended the LA Art Show’s Opening Night Premiere on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California. We have covered the show several years and each time enjoy learning of new artists, galleries, and participants. We make an effort to focus our coverage on Latino participants.

Antonio Pelayo didn’t go to art school, and doesn’t even have a high school diploma, but he is the Last Man Standing at the oldest, still existing department of Disney Animation. His absolutely incredible story encourages Matt to reassess his career path and yours on this remarkable episode of Pop Sequentialism.

When we hear the term “it runs in the family” it is usually connected to some negative behavior trait, a genetic disease or a vice, but in the Pelayo family, the main trait that runs through this family is artistic talent, as is the case of award winning artist Antonio Pelayo and his 18 year old son, Isaac Pelayo.
